oh my, he's awfully big...I was watching a big fat yellow one the other day who had collected a huge array of suppers - of which at least 3 were bees and twice the size of him..Spiders are fascinating to watch. Do you know what kind this one is? Great shot.
Hi Fotoface, This is a type of harvestman a sort of spider. The one in your photo is (I think ) Homalentus quadridentatus. There are 26 species of harvestmen in Britain and they live on small insects to decaying plant material. They don't tap their prey by webs like some spiders.

hi welcome to my blog. at the moment i have to try every thing out, thats in this blogging lark so if you see some big mistakes .
