From a seat made for three, we wait for the tide to raise the boats to a watery high.
The waters slowly moving in, and so is the rain, to spoil our fun.
With no coats to keep us dry, we must leave this inlet to the tide

Ok I know this is probably a stupid question but do people just leave their boats like that in the inlet?...or are these not used anymore?

no its normal just to leave your
boat, we done get much crime in this
part of the U.K. In fact we have the lowest for the whole of ENGLAND.
