Tree life

Dead tree and Ivy standing all alone
beside a country road.
The tree once an acorn, started to grow
always giving birth to new leaf every day,
year after year getting stronger as new branches,
stretched out from the mighty trunk.

As time passes by, you began to die.
Carbon that once you would breathe, now so
strong it peels your bark, that too is washed away
by acid rain.
But all is not lost, as not to far away an acorn
slowly grows in the hedgerow, taken from you
by a hungry crow, then dropped it to the ground.

The new sapling is getting stronger by the day.
Only time will tell,if its able to do well,
in the changing world we live in.
