Urban sunrise a red glow across a concrete land .
The high rise buildings cast shadows long and wide ,
a figure lays bleeding from a knife fight, slumped against a wall.
Someones child aged fourteen, leader of a gang .
Nearby the homeless sleep unaware of the tragedy .
Cries for help never heard.
Police arrive, its now a crime scene ,the homeless move away.
Across the city newsmen rush to the scene reporting the blood stain
ground now drying in the morning sun.
Streets away a child is born to live and breathe the urban disease.
How long before another tragedy beneath an urban sunrise.
