rerun

urban mourning 1 [" reposting" this as another child die this week

Urban sunrise a red glow across a concrete land .
The high rise buildings cast shadows long and wide ,
a figure lays bleeding from a knife fight, slumped against a wall.
Someones child aged fourteen, leader of a gang .
Nearby the homeless sleep unaware of the tragedy .
Cries for help never heard.
Police arrive, its now a crime scene ,the homeless move away.
Across the city newsmen rush to the scene reporting the blood stain
ground now drying in the morning sun.
Streets away a child is born to live and breathe the urban disease.
How long before another tragedy beneath an urban sunrise.

So poignant. This story plays out far too often. I was going to ask if this pertais to a specific incident I saw on the tv news, but unfortunately, that was probably not the only incident like this, this week, just the one most pubicized.

I did this writing a little while back , as at that time, a lot of stabbing in the London area . this Thursday last with a shooting of an 11y old boy to death by a teenager
so knife or gun the out come the same.
